Welcome to Checkaroundme ("Checkaroundme", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Checkaroundme platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Platform.
Checkaroundme is a service marketplace platform that connects individuals seeking professional services ("Users" or "Customers") with independent service providers ("Providers" or "Merchants"). Checkaroundme does not provide the services listed on the Platform and is not a party to any service agreement between Users and Providers.
The Platform facilitates:
Users may browse Provider listings, which may include service descriptions, pricing (where applicable), availability, ratings, and reviews.
Users may communicate with Providers through the Platform to discuss service requirements, scope, and estimates prior to booking.
For services requiring diagnostics or assessment, Providers may issue service estimates. Users may accept, request changes, or decline an estimate. Declined estimates expire automatically.
Bookings are confirmed only upon successful payment through the Platform. Upon confirmation, contact details are unlocked for both parties and notifications are issued.
Providers are responsible for delivering services as agreed. Where the scope of work changes, a Change Order must be issued and approved by the User before additional work is performed.
Users are required to mark a job as complete once the service is delivered. Users are encouraged to submit reviews and ratings.
Provider payouts are processed one business day (T+1) after job completion. Instant payout options may be available for an additional fee.
Users must provide accurate and complete information, maintain account security, and notify Checkaroundme of unauthorized access.
Providers must complete onboarding, provide accurate business information, select subscription tiers, and configure service offerings.
Subscription plans may include free and paid tiers. Features, pricing, and availability may change and are displayed on the Platform. Providers may upgrade or downgrade at any time.
Boosts provide increased visibility and may be included in subscriptions or purchased separately.
Checkaroundme charges a commission on completed transactions, deducted automatically before payout. Commission rates vary by category and subscription tier.
Providers may view earnings and analytics through their dashboard. Additional payout fees may apply.
To enhance trust, safety, and service quality on the Platform, Checkaroundme requires Service Providers to complete an identity and/or business verification process. Providers must submit valid and accurate verification documents as requested by Checkaroundme.
Verification documents may include, but are not limited to:
Checkaroundme reserves the right to request additional documents or information at any time.
Upon successful verification, Providers may be granted a "Verified" badge on their profile. The Verified badge indicates that the Provider's submitted information has been reviewed but does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of service quality by Checkaroundme.
Service Provider profiles will only be made live and discoverable on the Platform after successful completion of required verification. Providers who fail to complete verification may have limited access or be restricted from receiving bookings.
Providers are responsible for keeping verification information accurate and up to date. Checkaroundme may periodically re-verify Providers or revoke verification status if information becomes outdated, inaccurate, or misleading.
Submission of false, misleading, or fraudulent verification documents is a material breach of these Terms and may result in suspension or permanent termination of the Provider's account, forfeiture of earnings, and potential legal action.
Checkaroundme is not responsible for verifying the quality, legality, or fitness of services provided. Verification is solely a trust and compliance measure and does not replace Users' responsibility to conduct their own due diligence.
Bookings are confirmed only after payment is successfully processed through the Platform.
All payments must be processed through Checkaroundme. Off-platform payments and back-channelling are prohibited.
Cancellations and refunds are subject to Provider policies and the stage of service delivery. Provider cancellations may impact reputation scores.
Users may leave honest and accurate reviews after service completion.
Provider reputation is based on reviews, completion rates, responsiveness, and policy compliance.
Checkaroundme reserves the right to remove reviews that violate Platform guidelines.
Users and Providers agree to use the Platform lawfully and responsibly. Prohibited activities include fraud, harassment, back-channelling, security violations, spam, and intellectual property infringement. Checkaroundme may monitor communications for compliance and enforcement purposes.
Checkaroundme may monitor activity, investigate reports, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or terminate access to protect Platform integrity.
Users and Providers must first attempt to resolve disputes through the Platform's dispute resolution tools.
Checkaroundme facilitates communication but does not adjudicate disputes or guarantee outcomes.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
All Platform content is owned by Checkaroundme or its licensors. Users grant Checkaroundme a non-exclusive license to use submitted content for Platform purposes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
Checkaroundme may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud, or non-payment. Users may close accounts subject to completion of outstanding obligations.
These Terms shall be governed by general principles of commercial law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or use of the Platform that cannot be resolved internally shall be finally resolved through binding arbitration under internationally recognized arbitration rules. The seat and procedure of arbitration shall be determined by the arbitrator. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be lawfully excluded under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
